About

The Muhtadi International Drumming Festival brings together drummers from around the world at Ashbridges Bay. African djembe, Japanese taiko, Brazilian samba, Caribbean steelpan — all converging on the beach. It's a free, all-ages celebration of rhythm that you can hear from blocks away.

What to Expect

Two days of drumming performances and workshops at the beach. Multiple stages, drum circles, dance troupes. Very chill, very communal. You'll end up dancing.

Pro Tips

Sunscreen is essential — there's limited shade. Bring water and snacks. The community drum circle at sunset on Saturday is the emotional highlight.
