VT Insider Tip

The opening night tours are the best way to see the most in one evening — organizers lead guided walks through gallery clusters. The installations at 401 Richmond are always worth visiting.

About

DesignTO is a ten-day design festival spanning architecture, interiors, furniture, graphic design, and interactive installations. Exhibitions and events pop up in galleries, studios, and public spaces across the city, with a concentration around the Design District (King-Spadina).

What to Expect

10 days of design exhibitions, talks, studio tours, and public installations. Most events are free. Strong mix of emerging and established designers.

Pro Tips

Download the DesignTO app for a map of all venues. Focus on the King-Spadina and Ossington corridors for the highest density of shows. Evenings have better energy.

Getting There

Events across the city, concentrated in King-Spadina and Ossington areas. All TTC-accessible. Biking between venues works well in January if the weather cooperates.
