About

The Canadian International Air Show has been a Labour Day weekend tradition since 1946, making it North America's longest-running air show. Held over Lake Ontario at Exhibition Place during the CNE, it draws hundreds of thousands to the waterfront for military flypasts, aerobatic teams, and civilian stunt pilots. The CF-18 demo, the Snowbirds, and various international acts put on a show that reverberates across the entire downtown core.

What to Expect

Three days of aerial performances over the waterfront. Military jets, the Snowbirds, wing-walkers, and civilian aerobatics. Incredibly loud — you'll hear it from anywhere downtown. Free viewing from the waterfront; CNE grounds offer closer vantage points.

Pro Tips

If you're watching from the CNE, claim a spot on the lake side of the grounds by 11am. The show runs roughly noon to 3pm. Ear protection is recommended for kids. Check the flight schedule in advance — acts rotate by day.

Getting There

TTC to Exhibition station (GO) or take the 509/511 streetcar. If watching from the waterfront, bike along Martin Goodman Trail. Do not drive — parking is a nightmare on air show days.
