Looking to shake off writer's block or explore your creative side in a supportive environment? Head over to the Palmerston branch for a drop-in community writing workshop presented in partnership with the Writers Collective of Canada.

What to Expect These workshops are designed to be entirely accessible, whether you've been journaling for decades or have never written a creative sentence in your life. No prior experience is necessary, and all materials are provided on-site. Participants write together using a series of prompts, share first drafts in an encouraging circle, and practice deep listening and positive feedback.

Getting There & Practical Info The Palmerston Library is nestled right in the heart of the Annex at 560 Palmerston Avenue, just a short walk from Bathurst subway station. The session takes place downstairs in the program room. While the workshops are free and don't require previous writing experience, space is limited, so registration online or in-branch is encouraged. Make an evening of it by grabbing a coffee at one of the cozy cafes along Bloor Street before heading over to write.
