Toronto is a city of many languages, and Koffler Arts is bringing that diversity to the stage. Join them for the sixth chapter of *WORLD PLAY*, an ongoing series curated by Alon Nashman that explores the beauty of language through performance.
The Theme: Freedom
This edition focuses on the theme of 'Freedom.' Participants with diverse mother tongues will read excerpts of poetry, theatre, fiction, philosophy, and song lyrics in their original languages, followed by English translations. It’s a fascinating way to experience the phonaesthetics—the sound and beauty—of languages from around the world.
Why Attend
It’s an immersive, thought-provoking experience that highlights the cultural richness of our city. After the readings, stick around for an informal reception to connect with other attendees and continue the conversation over light snacks.
