Wonder Workshop: Out of this World Challenge

Have you ever looked up at the night sky and wondered what it would take to build a home on Mars? Young explorers are invited to the Brookbanks branch for an out-of-this-world afternoon of science, imagination, and hands-on engineering.

This interactive session kicks off with a fun deep-dive into space science, focusing on the mysteries of the cosmos and our planetary neighbor, the red planet. Participants will then put their engineering caps on to brainstorm, design, and build their very own custom spacecraft models while tackling creative solutions to the unique problems astronauts face on long-haul space journeys.

What to Expect

Tailored for children ages 6 to 10, this free workshop encourages critical thinking, teamwork, and creative problem-solving through play. Plus, attendees will be entered into a special prize draw for a chance to take home an awesome science book.

Getting There

The Brookbanks Public Library is located at 210 Brookbanks Drive in the Parkwoods-Donalda neighbourhood of North York. It's easily accessible via local TTC bus routes from Victoria Park or Don Mills stations.

Space is strictly limited for this popular Wonder Workshop series, so early registration via the Toronto Public Library website is strongly recommended.
