Writers Collective of Canada (WCC): Community Writing Workshop

Tuesday, August 11, 2026
6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Palmerston — Program Room (downstairs)
Looking to break through writer's block or simply explore your creative voice in a low-stakes, welcoming environment? Head down to the Palmerston Library for the Writers Collective of Canada (WCC) Community Writing Workshop. Hosted in the downstairs program room, these weekly sessions are designed to foster connection and expression through the written word.
Whether you are an experienced scribe or have never written a paragraph outside of a grocery list, you will find a place here. The session operates on the WCC's core philosophy: we write together, share raw, unpolished first drafts in a completely encouraging space, and listen deeply. There is no critique, only supportive and positive feedback.
Located right in the heart of the Annex, Palmerston Library is easily accessible by transit—just a short walk from Bathurst station. Grab a coffee at a nearby Harbord Village café before heading over for an evening of mindful creation. Materials are fully provided, so all you need to bring is your curiosity. Registration is requested through the Toronto Public Library, but spots open up regularly.
