Marking Suicide Awareness Month, the Distress Centres of Greater Toronto (DCGT) hosts its annual Walk for Suicide Awareness along the scenic shores of Lake Ontario. This deeply meaningful community event invites participants to come together to break the stigma surrounding mental health, honour those lost to suicide, and raise vital funds for local crisis intervention.
The walk follows a peaceful, accessible 4.5-kilometre path starting from Sunnyside Pavilion. Every registered participant receives an official event t-shirt and an Honour Bead necklace to symbolize personal connections to the cause. Following the walk, attendees are invited to stay for refreshments, community connection, and shared reflections.
Event Info - **Date:** Sunday, September 13, 2026 - **Time:** 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm - **Location:** Sunnyside Pavilion, 1755 Lake Shore Blvd W, Old Toronto
