Versus at The Theatre Centre

Award-winning collaborators Adam Lazarus, Guillermo Verdecchia, and Ann-Marie Kerr premiere Versus at The Theatre Centre (1115 Queen St W), November 12–29, 2026 (opening night Friday, November 13 per the company listing). Cake included.

Gerald Bloom does not want to go to his own birthday party—everything feels like a fight. Lazarus takes audiences through horror, comedy, delusion, grief, and joy in a laugh-out-loud piece that, as the creators put it, can only happen in a room together. Co-produced by QuipTake Theatre, The Theatre Centre, and the National Arts Centre’s National Creation Fund.

Tickets are listed around $25 at theatrecentre.org. Queen West West is easy by streetcar; grab a drink on Ossington or Queen before curtain. Expect an intimate house—book ahead for weekend evenings.
