If you have ever wanted to put your life experiences onto the page but did not know where to begin, the Richview Library is hosting an insightful workshop designed to break through writer's block. Acclaimed author Sharon A. Crawford leads this session focused on harnessing the six senses—taste, smell, touch, sight, hearing, and intuition—alongside associated emotions to shape a compelling personal narrative.

What to Expect Participants will study excerpts from published works, including Crawford’s own memoir 'The Enemies Within Us,' engage in guided writing exercises, and learn practical strategies around the ABCs of memoir structure, research, and the use of pseudonyms. Attendees are encouraged to bring along personal photographs to help inspire discussions and jumpstart their opening chapters.

Practical Info This free program takes place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Toronto Public Library's Richview Branch (1806 Islington Ave.) in Etobicoke. Advance registration is required, so book your spot online or call the branch directly to secure a seat.
