Underwater World Art

Dive into creativity at the North York Central Library with an afternoon dedicated to exploring vibrant aquatic worlds. Perfect for budding artists, this hands-on workshop invites children to bring their own imaginative underwater scenes to life on paper.

Participants will experiment with a dynamic mix of mediums, utilizing rich pastels and fluid watercolours to build depth and colour. Kids will even learn a clever artistic trick: using ordinary table salt to create stunning, organic textures that mimic sea foam, coral, and distant ocean currents.

What to Expect

Designed for school-aged children between 6 and 12 years old, this free workshop provides all necessary art supplies and a supportive environment to practice foundational drawing and painting techniques. It’s a wonderful way to spark imagination and keep kids engaged during the summer months.
