Celebrate Pride the Ubuntu way—'I am because we are'—at this joyful outdoor gathering in Christie Pits Park. This picnic is specifically designed to bring together queer women, trans women, and non-binary folks for an afternoon of community and celebration.
What to Expect
The event is packed with interactive activities, including Afrodance sessions, a women-led djembe drumming circle, and various games. It’s a potluck-style picnic vibe, so come prepared to share, connect, and enjoy the music. The atmosphere is intended to be relaxed and welcoming, making it a perfect space to meet new people or catch up with friends in the heart of the city.
Supporting a Cause
This event is more than just a party. Presented by Teatime with Tammie and Her City Toronto, a portion of the proceeds—$10 from every ticket—goes directly to UPLift Black’s Newcomer Program. This initiative provides vital support to LGBTQI+ newcomers and refugees, making your attendance a way to give back to the community. Christie Pits is a fantastic venue for this, offering plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the summer weather. Grab your tickets early to take advantage of the early bird pricing.
