Summer is winding down, but the local art scene is still buzzing. The Toronto Comic Jam returns to the legendary backroom of the Cameron House on Queen West for an evening of collaborative cartooning, zine-swapping, and casual community hangouts.

Whether you're an aspiring cartoonist or just want to doodle demented, dadaist sketches while listening to good music, this event is built for you. The organizers supply the paper and basic art supplies, but you're encouraged to bring your favourite pens, pencils, and erasers. Jump into a collaborative comic where multiple artists add to the same page, or bring your own indie zines and comics to sell and trade.

Admission is completely free, and the vibe is famously welcoming to all skill levels. Drop by the back of 408 Queen Street West on the last Sunday of the month, grab a drink from the bar, and immerse yourself in Toronto's grassroots comics community.
