Artificial intelligence is changing how we consume media, create art, and navigate the internet. For local teens looking to demystify the tech, the Albert Campbell Library in Scarborough is hosting a comprehensive, week-long workshop series: 'The A(i), B, C’s of Artificial Intelligence.'
Inside the Workshop
Led by Keith McDonald—founder and chief curator of Toronto’s The Literacy AI Project—this series breaks down the four essential pillars of AI. Participants will move beyond the headlines using an engaging mix of video clips, hands-on interactive props, group discussions, and an original AI literacy song. Teens will learn not just how algorithms function behind the scenes, but how to think critically about data privacy, social media feeds, and creative applications.
Getting There
Hosted in the Youth Hub at the Albert Campbell branch (496 Birchmount Road), this multi-day program is entirely free to attend. It's a fantastic summer opportunity for high school students looking to build digital literacy skills in a collaborative environment near the Scarborough Civic Centre.
