Inspired by Toronto’s breathtaking diversity of movement traditions and communities, Svāhā! is a full-evening love letter to dance. Conceived and choreographed by Nova Bhattacharya, this high-energy spectacle is a rallying cry for unity and a joyful celebration of life itself.

The Performance Svāhā! fuses nearly 30 distinct dance traditions—from Bharatanatyam and Butoh to Jazz and Salsa—into a singular, vibrant experience. A cast of 16 brilliant performers brings intricate, expansive choreography to life, answering societal fractures with jubilant defiance. The evening features an original score by tabla virtuoso Ed Hanley and dynamic lighting design by Simon Rossiter.
