Grammy-nominated blues guitarist Sue Foley is heading to Chinatown's historic El Mocambo for a unique, up-close and interactive evening that blends live performance with storytelling. Part conversation, part performance, and part celebration of her debut book ## Guitar Women: Conversations and Life Lessons with the Heroines of Guitar, this rare one-night-only format gives fans a chance to experience the celebrated blues artist like never before.

Foley has spent years unearthing and documenting the stories of female guitarists—a research project that earned her a PhD, inspired a Grammy-nominated project, and now anchors her first book. For this special Toronto stop, the evening is broken down into three distinct acts: a live conversation and audience Q&A starting at 7:30 pm, followed by a stripped-down solo acoustic set at 8:30 pm, and wrapped up with an intimate book signing and meet-and-greet.

What to Expect

Held in the intimate Upstairs at the El Mocambo (Under the Neon Palms), capacity is strictly limited. General admission tickets include a copy of *Guitar Women*, while VIP tiers add reserved balcony seating, a complimentary drink, a signed poster, and a custom tote bag.

Whether you're a lifelong blues fan or an aspiring musician interested in the history of women in guitar, this is a rare chance to hear Foley speak candidly about her career and research. Grab a bite at one of Spadina's classic dumpling spots before doors open at 7:00 pm, and settle in for an unforgettable night of music and mentorship.
