Beam up your weekend plans with an interstellar edition of Canada’s longest-running drag brunch. In celebration of Fan Expo weekend, legendary LGBTQ+ institution Glad Day Lit is taking over Piano Piano on Bloor West for a high-energy, sci-fi-fueled Star Trek Drag Brunch designed to delight nerds, foodies, and drag lovers alike.
Bold Performances on Bloor West
Leading the away mission are two of Toronto’s fiercest performance powerhouses: Devery Bess and Milkshook. Expect jaw-dropping cosplay reveals, cosmic choreography, and high-camp tributes to the final frontier. As with all Glad Day brunches, the atmosphere is exuberant and all-ages friendly, with guests encouraged to dress in their best Starfleet regalia and bring small bills to tip the galactic royalty on stage.
Pizza, Pasta, and Glad Day Community
While Glad Day supplies the top-tier entertainment, Piano Piano serves up hearty Italian brunch staples—from wood-fired pizzas and rich pastas to decadent brunch plates and cocktails. Ticket revenue directly benefits the performers and Glad Day Lit’s community initiatives, supporting one of the world's oldest surviving queer bookstores and cultural hubs.
Tickets, Times & Location
Seating begins in staggered waves at 11:15 AM and 11:45 AM, with the main show launching at 12:00 PM. Piano Piano is located at 1006 Bloor Street West in the heart of Bloordale Village, just steps from Ossington Subway Station. Tickets cover admission only (food and beverage ordered à la carte), and advance booking is highly recommended as Glad Day's themed drag brunches frequently sell out well ahead of showtime.
