As part of the 'Game On East End' programming, Jimmie Simpson Park is hosting a Soccer Picnic that is all about community spirit. It’s a full afternoon dedicated to celebrating the beautiful game with your neighbours.
What to Expect
The event is packed with activities for all ages. Kids can sharpen their skills at the Sportball youth soccer clinic from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, while the whole family can enjoy Play Mobile, face painting, and balloon twisting. DJ Agile will be on-site providing the soundtrack, and there will be plenty of giveaways throughout the day.
BYOP (Bring Your Own Picnic)
This is a true community gathering, so the organizers are encouraging a 'BYOP' approach. Support local by grabbing lunch or snacks from one of the nearby businesses in the neighbourhood before heading to the park. It’s a perfect way to kick off the summer, connect with the community, and enjoy some outdoor fun during the World Cup season.
