Electricity doesn't have to be a mystery. The Parkdale Library is hosting a hands-on Snap Circuits session designed to give kids ages 6 to 12 a playful introduction to basic engineering and electronics.
Sparking Curiosity
During this guided workshop, young participants will have the opportunity to experiment with real components. They can turn on a light, spin a motor, activate a speaker, and even build their own functional circuits from scratch. It's an immersive way to build critical thinking and tactile engineering skills.
Practical Details
The workshop takes place in Auditorium A at the Parkdale branch (1303 Queen Street West) from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Note that registration is required for this event, so parents should sign up in advance through the Toronto Public Library website. Afterwards, take a stroll down Queen West to explore the neighbourhood's vibrant shops and green spaces.
