Shea Butter: Natural Skin Care & Everyday Wellness

Wednesday, August 5, 2026
6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Jane/Sheppard
Celebrate Emancipation Month with a hands-on educational wellness workshop at the Jane/Sheppard library branch. Led by wellness advocate Abi Omosule, this community session dives deep into the history, sourcing, and everyday skin care benefits of natural shea butter.
Participants will learn how traditional, plant-based ingredients support deep skin hydration and fit seamlessly into simple, daily self-care routines. Omosule will guide attendees through the properties of unrefined butters and oils, offering practical tips for making mindful choices in personal care products.
Hosted at 1906 Sheppard Avenue West, this drop-in session is free and open to the public, though space in the room is limited. Please note that this program features non-consumable, scented botanical products that can be tested on the skin. It’s an inviting, educational evening for anyone looking to connect with community traditions and elevate their everyday wellness routine in the northwest end of the city.
