Shab-e She’r (Poetry Night) CXXIV

Step into the cozy confines of the Tranzac Club's Living Room for the 124th edition of Shab-e She’r (Poetry Night), Toronto's longest-running and most diverse brave poetry reading series. Hosted by Bänoo Zan, the evening provides a welcoming stage for writers, thinkers, and lovers of verse.

This month's featured guests include Zahra Dhanani—a dynamic writer, activist, and co-owner of The Old's Cool General Store—and Keith Garebian, an internationally acclaimed theatre scholar and celebrated poet known for works like *Frida: Paint Me as a Volcano* and *Blue: The Derek Jarman Poems*.

The second half of the night opens up to the community with a lively open mic where anyone can sign up to share poetry in any language. It's an intimate, deeply engaging cultural fixture in the Annex.
