Gerrard/Ashdale — 2nd Floor Program Room
Introduce children to the rewarding, tactile world of textiles with a family-friendly crafting afternoon at the Gerrard/Ashdale Library. Designed for kids ages 4 to 12 alongside their parents or caregivers, this hands-on workshop invites participants to stitch together tiny animal friends using colourful felt and embroidery thread. ## Crafting Together Hand-sewing is a fantastic, practical life skill that builds fine motor control, patience, and creative resilience in young minds. This session offers a wonderful opportunity for families to slow down, collaborate on a simple project, and leave with a charming homemade toy or decorative keepsake. ## Practical Details The workshop runs on August 7, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gerrard/Ashdale branch, nestled in the vibrant heart of the East End at 1432 Gerrard Street East. All required materials are provided free of charge, but registration is strictly required due to limited capacity. While you're in the neighbourhood, consider stopping by one of Little India's fantastic eateries or cafes before or after the session to round out your evening.
