Looking for a relaxed way to spend a Saturday afternoon? Head over to the second floor of the Gerrard/Ashdale Library in the east end for their weekly Saturday Chess Club. This drop-in event welcomes players of all ages and skill levels, from absolute beginners learning the rules to seasoned tacticians looking for a casual match.
What to Expect
Boards and pieces are provided, and the atmosphere is wonderfully community-focused. It is a fantastic neighborhood hub where neighbours can connect over an ancient game of strategy. Children are welcome to participate, provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
