Downtown Toronto's historic Allan Gardens Palm House enters a vibrant new chapter with the launch of *Palmhouse Sessions*, an intimate live music series designed to animate the Victorian glass conservatory.
The Music
For its inaugural night, the series pays tribute to legendary hip-hop producer J Dilla. A 4-piece band featuring SB Tones (sax, flute, vocoder), keyboardist Darryl Joseph on Dennie, bassist Sean Dennis, and drummer Jon Catanus will deliver fresh live arrangements, rare deep-cuts, and reinterpretations of beats originally made for Slum Village, The Pharcyde, Erykah Badu, and Common. Vinyl DJ sets from Gil Masuda round out the setbreaks.
Venue & Advocacy
Surrounded by tropical flora under the night sky, guests can enjoy a cash bar featuring local craft brews and a signature cocktail. Proceeds from the signature drink directly support the Friends of Allan Gardens' planned civic expansion of the conservatory and parkland. Doors open at 7 PM.
