Spend your summer Sundays getting inspired by one of Toronto's most striking historic landmarks. The Legislative Assembly of Ontario invites locals and visitors alike to take part in Paint in the Park, a relaxed, open-air, self-guided art activity set against the backdrop of Queen's Park.
What to Expect
Participants of all skill levels can grab a brush and try their hand at beginner-friendly paint-by-numbers kits designed around the iconic legislative building and its surrounding grounds. To add a bit of history to your afternoon, the program also offers optional guided tours of the building before or after your painting session.
Practical Details
Running every Sunday through July and August, this event is completely free and operates on a drop-in basis. If you plan on joining a tour or heading indoors in case of inclement weather, make sure to bring a piece of government-issued photo ID for the security screening at the main entrance. Arrive a few minutes early, bring your creativity, and enjoy a peaceful afternoon in the heart of Old Toronto.
