NatureTO: Trees Around the Branch Tour

Discover the hidden ecological gems of Scarborough's Bendale neighbourhood with the City of Toronto's Urban Forestry staff. This guided tree tour offers participants a chance to explore local flora, learn tree identification skills, and uncover the cultural and ecological importance of the urban canopy.

Meeting in the basement auditorium at the Bendale branch, the walk will take participants through local streets and green spaces. Dress comfortably for the outdoors and wear sturdy walking shoes, as some surfaces along the route may be unpaved or uneven.

This program is part of the Toronto Public Library's 'Our Fragile Planet' series, supported by the Friends of the Toronto Public Library (South Chapter). It is open to all ages, though children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. For transit, the branch is easily accessible via local TTC bus routes connecting from Lawrence East Station.
