Movies Under the Stars 2026

Downsview Park's beloved 'Movies Under the Stars' series returns for another season, transforming the park's scenic lake and meadow areas into an open-air cinema. Grab your lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks for a relaxed community movie night in North York.

What to Expect Screenings take place on the south side of the lake for English-language features and in the meadow for French-dubbed presentations. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly. While admission is entirely free, online registration opens two weeks prior to each screening date.

Getting There & Tips Shows start at dusk (around 9:00 PM), but arriving about an hour early is recommended to secure a prime spot on the grass. Parking is available nearby at the Orchard parking lot (P2), and Downsview Park is accessible via local TTC transit routes.
