Looking for a great mid-week plan? Soulpepper Theatre is hosting a free screening of *The African Desperate*, a hilarious and hyperreal satire by multimedia artist Martine Syms.
About the Film Inspired by Syms' own experiences as an MFA student at a predominantly white institution, the film follows Palace Bryant through her dizzying last 24 hours at art school. It’s a wild, satirical journey that touches on everything from academic critiques to the hedonistic world of elite institutions.
