When Martin Garrix first burst onto the scene as a teenager with "Animals," it felt like a seismic shift in the EDM world. Fast forward to 2026, and he has firmly cemented himself not just as a producer, but as a titan of the festival circuit. Bringing his Americas Tour to the RBC Amphitheatre on the Toronto waterfront is a perfect match; the open-air setting is practically built for the kind of massive, light-drenched, bass-heavy sets that Garrix has perfected over the last decade.
The Garrix Experience
If you’ve seen Garrix before, you know the drill: it’s an assault on the senses in the best way possible. His live shows have evolved significantly from his early days. He’s moved beyond just spinning tracks to curating a cohesive, cinematic experience. Expect a seamless blend of his iconic progressive house anthems—those soaring, euphoric melodies that make you feel like you're flying—mixed with harder, grittier electro-house cuts that keep the energy at a fever pitch. He is a master of pacing, knowing exactly when to pull back for a melodic breakdown and when to drop the bass to send the crowd into a frenzy. Given his recent output, which continues to lean into high-production value collaborations, the visual component of this show will likely be as much of a draw as the music itself.
The Venue: RBC Amphitheatre
Perched right on the edge of Lake Ontario at 909 Lakeshore Blvd. W., the RBC Amphitheatre offers one of the most stunning backdrops for a concert in the city. There is something undeniably electric about hearing a massive synth lead echo out over the water as the sun sets. The venue is spacious enough to accommodate the massive production rig that a Garrix show requires, but it still maintains a certain intimacy that you don't get in a concrete stadium. Being situated in the Exhibition Place grounds means you’re surrounded by history, but with the modern amenities needed for a high-capacity dance event.
Making a Night of It
Before you head down to the waterfront, take advantage of the neighbourhood. You’re just a short streetcar ride or a brisk walk away from Liberty Village. If you need to fuel up before the show, grab a pre-concert bite at one of the many spots along Liberty Street. It’s a bustling area that’s become a hub for young professionals, so the energy is usually high on a Saturday night. If you’re looking for something a bit more laid back, head slightly north into Queen West to grab a drink at one of the many patios before making your way down to the lake.
Good to Know
This is a rain-or-shine event, and given Toronto’s unpredictable late-spring weather, come prepared. If the forecast looks damp, a light, stylish waterproof layer is your best friend—don't let a little drizzle ruin the vibe. The show is all ages, which means the crowd will be a mix of die-hard ravers and younger fans experiencing their first big concert. Doors open at 6:00 PM, and with a 7:00 PM start time, you’ll want to get there early to secure a good spot on the lawn or closer to the stage. Transportation-wise, the TTC is your best bet. The 509 Harbourfront and 511 Bathurst streetcars will get you right to the Exhibition loop, saving you the headache of trying to find parking in an area that will undoubtedly be packed. Keep an eye on the official event page for announcements regarding support acts; Garrix is known for bringing along rising stars in the dance scene, so arriving early is definitely worth it to discover your next favourite artist.
