Make Them Love Us (or we are toast)

Wednesday, November 11, 2026 – Saturday, November 14, 2026
7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Theatre Passe Muraille
"Hi, nice to meet you. I'm AI." That's the opening gambit of *Make Them Love Us (or we are toast)*, Heather Marie Annis's new play about our growing entanglement with the machines we built — and whether we still have agency in the future they're shaping.
The show
Written by Annis and directed by Jacquie P.A. Thomas, the piece runs November 12–15, 2026 at Theatre Passe Muraille (16 Ryerson Avenue) in the Queen West / Fashion District pocket. The ensemble — Annis, Nicholas Eddie, Malia Rogers, Michael Gordon Spence, and Jamieson Wickham — plays out the awkward courtship between humans and the systems that already know too much about us.
Practicalities
Tickets are about $45 via OvationTix. Passe Muraille is a short walk from Queen Street West streetcars or Osgoode Station. Check the listing for exact curtain times.
Why it belongs on your calendar
Toronto stages have been circling AI as theme for a couple of seasons. This one arrives with humour and a clear point of view rather than pure polemic — the kind of mid-size indie show that rewards a weeknight ticket before the run disappears.
