Lula Community Salsa Class

Saturday, August 29, 2026
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Lula Lounge
If you have ever wanted to test out your rhythm without the intimidation factor of a late-night club environment, here is your golden opportunity. Lula Lounge is throwing open its doors for a free community salsa class on Saturday, August 29, 2026, welcoming dancers of every generation—from toddlers to grandparents.
Led by instructor Sarita Leyva, the afternoon kicks off with doors at 12:00 PM followed by an inclusive, beginner-friendly class at 1:00 PM. It is a brilliant way to sample the famous warmth and electric energy of Lula’s dance floor, meet your neighbours, and see what makes the venue's weekend salsa nights a Toronto institution.
What to Expect While the class itself is entirely free, donations to support Lula’s ongoing educational and community arts programming are graciously accepted. If you want to make an afternoon of it, coffee, lunch, and early cocktail reservations are available through Lula's kitchen.
Located right on Dundas Street West in the heart of the Junction/Little Portugal stretch, it’s an easy streetcar ride on the 505. Just remember: if the weather gets wet, make sure to pack a clean pair of indoor shoes to protect the wooden dance floor. Come ready to move, laugh, and learn a few basic steps in a wonderfully welcoming space.
