Take a breather and flex your creative muscles at the Eatonville Library with a hands-on suncatcher-making workshop designed to bring a bit of mindfulness and calm to your summer.

Hosted in partnership with CultureLink Settlement & Community Services, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, and the Toronto Public Library, this session focuses on the mental health benefits of crafting in a welcoming community environment. Participants will learn about the history and decorative charm of suncatchers while assembling their own piece to brighten up a window at home.

What to Expect This is a gentle, beginner-friendly workshop where the emphasis is on slowing down and staying present. All materials are provided free of charge, and you'll leave with a colourful handmade creation to catch the summer light.

Practical Details The workshop takes place at the Eatonville Library branch located at 430 Burnhampthorpe Road in Etobicoke. While admission is free, space is limited and registration is required. To secure your spot, contact LSP Program Worker Shane at saquino@culturelink.ca or call 416-931-6536. Afterwards, consider exploring nearby local parks or grabbing a coffee in the neighbourhood.
