Living Well Through Serious Illness, End-of-Life & Loss

Wednesday, August 12, 2026
2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Runnymede
Navigating serious illness, end-of-life transitions, and grief is rarely something anyone is prepared to do alone. This August, the Runnymede Library hosts an insightful community session featuring a representative from the Dorothy Ley Hospice to discuss the programs and support services available across West Toronto.
What to Expect
Hosted in collaboration with the West Toronto Ontario Health Team (OHT) as part of the Toronto Public Library’s *Your Health Matters* initiative, this free workshop provides a compassionate overview of hospice care. Attendees will learn how hospice programs support individuals and families, hear real stories from staff and volunteers about the tangible impact of community-based care, and discover local resources available when facing difficult health transitions.
Whether you are a caregiver, supporting a loved one, or simply looking to understand the network of health services available in your neighbourhood, this session offers trusted guidance in a welcoming environment.
