If you have ever wanted to see your favorite digital photographs transformed into stunning physical objects using light and shadow, the Toronto Reference Library has a workshop for you. This unique hands-on session introduces participants to the art of making lithophanes.
What to Expect
Attendees are asked to bring along a personal photo they would like to transform. Through the library's makerspace resources, you will learn the step-by-step process of creating a translucent etched image that reveals its hidden detail when backlit. No prior design or 3D printing experience is necessary, and all extra materials are provided.
