Looking for an engaging, hands-on way to keep your kids learning and creating all summer long? Le Dolci’s Summer Baking Camp for Kids at 12 Sousa Mendes Street in the Junction/West End brings children ages 6 to 11 into a professional kitchen for an unforgettable culinary journey.
A Culinary Tour of Italy and France
This year’s brand-new curriculum takes young bakers across Europe without leaving Toronto. Weekly themes alternate between a Tour of Italy and a Tour of France. Campers learn how to stretch Neapolitan pizza dough, roll fresh pasta by hand, shape classic French baguettes, and craft delicate Parisian pastries, all while learning the cultural roots behind the recipes.
Real-World Skills Beyond the Kitchen
Le Dolci blends essential life skills into every day of camp. Alongside mastering measuring, fractions, and kitchen science, kids collaborate to plan, price, market, and run a real charity bake sale for families and neighbours on Friday afternoons. Last summer's young bakers raised an impressive $1,500 for charity.
Practical Details for Parents
Camps run Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. To make things easier for working parents, free early drop-off starts at 8:00 am and late pick-up extends until 4:00 pm. Campers should bring a peanut-free lunch, but all baking ingredients, equipment, and daily outdoor park time are fully provided. Weekly sessions run through August and early September.
