While the peak of spring migration may have passed, High Park remains one of Toronto’s best spots for birdwatching. Join this early summer birding walk on June 14th to see how the park’s summer residents are settling in.
What to Expect
This is a beginner-friendly hike, making it perfect for anyone curious about local wildlife. You'll get to observe birds as they raise their young and prepare for the upcoming fall migration. The Nature Centre even has binoculars available to borrow, so you don't need to own your own gear to join in.
Getting There
The walk meets at the High Park Forest School (375 Colborne Lodge Dr). High Park is easily accessible by TTC (High Park Station on Line 2), and it's a beautiful place to spend a Sunday morning. After the walk, you're perfectly positioned to explore the rest of the park, visit the zoo, or grab a coffee in the nearby Roncesvalles neighbourhood.
