JAZZ IS DEAD Featuring Cortex with special guest J.ROCC

The celebrated Jazz Is Dead concert series touches down in downtown Toronto, bringing a masterclass in underground groove to the historic Concert Hall (formerly the Masonic Temple) at Yonge and Davenport.
Headlining the night is Cortex, the legendary 1970s French jazz-funk and fusion band whose soulful, sample-ready records have made them royalty among hip-hop producers and crate-diggers worldwide. Joining them is special guest J.Rocc, founding member of the legendary Beat Junkies and a heavyweight selector in his own right.
What to expect: A masterclass in vintage jazz-funk instrumentation meeting modern beat culture. Expect lush Rhodes chords, infectious basslines, and an incredible live atmosphere inside one of Toronto's most storied music venues.
Make a night of it: Located right on Yonge Street, you're surrounded by fantastic dining options in Yorkville before heading in for the late-night grooves.
