Looking for a hands-on afternoon activity to keep the kids engaged? Head over to the Wychwood branch for a special workshop on kumihimo friendship bracelet making. Kumihimo, which translates literally to "gathered threads," is a traditional Japanese braiding technique with a rich historical legacy used to create intricate cords and braids.

What to Expect Designed for kids ages 6 and up, this drop-in session introduces young makers to historical braiding arts in a fun, accessible way. All materials are provided on-site. It's a fantastic excuse to explore the vibrant Wychwood neighbourhood—grab a pastry nearby on St. Clair West before or after the session.

Practical Details This is a free drop-in program, but space is limited, so arriving slightly early is recommended. Large groups and camps must call ahead to coordinate attendance.
