Spark an early interest in science and engineering with this hands-on workshop designed for kids aged 8 to 12. Hosted at the Mount Dennis branch on Weston Road, young participants will work in pairs to explore the fundamentals of electrical circuitry using Snap Circuits kits.

Kids will have the chance to complete physical circuits that bring everyday concepts to life—lighting up bulbs, powering fans, and learning how electricity flows through collaborative trial and error. It is a fantastic, zero-pressure environment for children to dip their toes into STEM fields without needing any prior experience.

What to Expect Spaces and resources are limited, so you'll want to secure a spot ahead of time by registering in-person, over the phone, or via the TPL website. Participants will be paired up to encourage teamwork and collaborative problem-solving.

Before or after the session, take some time to explore the Mount Dennis neighbourhood. Grab a post-workshop treat at one of the local bakeries along Weston Road or make an afternoon of it by exploring nearby green spaces along the Humber River trail system.
