Looking to level up your sewing skills beyond a standard machine? Head over to the Fabrication Studio at the North York Central Library for an introductory workshop on operating the Juki MO-735 serger.
What to Expect
Participants will dive into the core mechanics of serger sewing, covering vital safety protocols, correct threading techniques, and how to use multiple threads to simultaneously sew seams, trim raw edges, and finish garments professionally. This particular session zeros in on mastering the 4-thread overlock stitch.
Important Details
Completion of this course is mandatory if you want to independently book and use the serger equipment at the library's digital innovation hubs in the future. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration requires an active Toronto Public Library card, and while spots fill up quickly, remember that unclaimed spaces are released after the first five minutes of the program.
