Step inside the Royal Ontario Museum for something far more interactive than a standard gallery stroll. *Intrigue at the Museum*, produced by Urban Capers, turns the iconic Bloor-Yorkville institution into a massive whodunnit board game where teams of sleuths race to solve a mysterious murder hidden deep within the museum's world-class collections.
How It Works
Working in teams, participants use a specialized scavenger hunt app on their smartphones to track down clues across various ROM galleries, piecing together a complex tale of greed, lust, pride, and revenge. On-site hosts meet you at the start to hand out game codes and sign-in instructions. It’s an ideal outing for date night, visiting friends, or trivia enthusiasts looking to see the museum in a completely new light.
Tickets and Practical Info
Tickets are $47.50 + HST per person, which conveniently includes full general admission to the ROM, your on-site host, and app access. At least one player per team must bring a fully charged smartphone. Located right at Queen's Park subway station, it's easily accessible by transit, with plenty of upscale dining options nearby in Yorkville for a post-game debrief.
