Level Up Your Craft In this intermediate session, participants will move beyond simple seams to tackle two crucial sewing milestones: installing a functioning zipper and sewing crisp box corners. Under guidance, you will transform raw materials into a custom, structured pencil case that you can actually use every day. All materials are completely provided by the library, making this an accessible way to build your DIY toolkit without buying specialized hardware.

Getting There & Details The workshop is hosted in the 2nd Floor eLearning Lab at the massive North York Central Library (5120 Yonge Street), right above the North York Centre subway station, making it a breeze to get to from anywhere on the Line 1 subway.

Keep in mind that basic prior knowledge of sewing is required—this isn't an introductory machine-threading class. Registration is required, and spots fill up fast, so make sure to arrive on time as unclaimed spots are given away shortly after the 6:00 PM start.
