Downtown Toronto's historic Metropolitan United Church plays host to a profoundly moving evening of contemporary music, bringing together two of the city's finest musical institutions: the Hannaford Street Silver Band and the Amadeus Choir.

At the emotional core of the program is *Requiem for a Charred Skull*, a powerful large-scale work by the late, celebrated Canadian composer and conductor Bramwell Tovey. Written in response to the tragic loss of cultural heritage during the Bosnian War, the piece balances immense emotional weight with moments of striking tenderness. The evening also features *Gi-Giwe Na? (Are you going home?)* by Barbara Assiginaak, offering a poignant Indigenous contemplation of memory and belonging, alongside Reena Esmail's vibrant *Exultations*.

Located at Queen and Church streets, Metropolitan United Church provides an acoustically stunning backdrop for this reflective musical journey. Grab a warm drink at a nearby café before stepping inside for a night of deep artistic resonance.
