The Women’s Art Association of Canada is hosting a unique cultural experience: *Hanji: A Thousand Years of Korean Paper Art*. As the first Hanji touring exhibition in Canada, this showcase introduces audiences to the enduring legacy and contemporary evolution of Korea’s traditional handmade paper.

What to See Through the works of seven highly accomplished Korean artists, the exhibition explores the versatility of Hanji as a medium. You will find everything from installations and sculptures to paintings and experimental forms. Hanji is renowned for its durability, sustainability, and artistic potential, and this exhibition highlights how it continues to evolve as a contemporary medium while preserving centuries of cultural heritage.

Public Programming This is more than just a gallery show. The exhibition includes artist talks, a documentary screening on the history of Hanji, traditional Korean music performances, and artist-led workshops. If you want the full experience, make sure to attend the reception on Friday, May 29, from 5 PM to 8 PM.
