The Alzheimer Society of Toronto and the Toronto Public Library have teamed up to present a compassionate, four-part Group Art Therapy series at the Eglinton Square Library branch. Designed specifically for individuals living with early- to mid-stage dementia or mild cognitive impairment (MCI), participants are invited to attend alongside a care partner.

The Creative Process Led by arts educator and VATI trainee Kathleen Downie, the workshop utilizes a variety of artistic materials and mediums to help participants explore and express thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Through collaborative and individual creative activities, attendees discover new ways to connect and communicate without requiring any prior art experience.

Practical Details Hosted in the Program Room at Eglinton Square Library (1 Eglinton Square, Unit 126 in Scarborough), this free series also provides complimentary snacks for all participants. Registration closes after week one or when full, so interested participants should sign up early through the library's portal.
