Google AI Essentials: In Person Learning Circle

Artificial intelligence is changing how we work and create, but diving into the tech can feel overwhelming. The Scarborough Civic Centre Library is hosting a staff-facilitated learning circle to help adults navigate the self-paced Google AI Essentials specialization.

What You Will Learn Over four weekly sessions, participants will work through Coursera's 10-hour introductory course. You'll cover foundational topics including how AI works, writing effective prompts, using generative tools responsibly, recognizing potential biases, and staying informed on tech news. Completing the specialization earns you an official Google certificate and shareable badge.

Practical Info Sessions are held in person at the Scarborough Civic Centre Library on Borough Drive. Participants are expected to commit to all four weekly meetups. The program is free, but requires a valid TPL library card and a two-step registration process via the library's website.
