In honour of Citizenship Week, Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema is hosting a free screening of the *Citizen Minutes* collection. This series features 15 short documentaries that highlight ordinary Canadians doing extraordinary things to improve their communities.

Why You Should Go At a time when civic engagement feels more important than ever, these films offer a dose of inspiration. Commissioned by Hot Docs and supported by The Rossy Foundation, the project aims to celebrate stories of civic participation across the country. Whether it's local activism, community building, or simply helping a neighbour, these stories showcase the power of individual action.

Practical Info The screening is completely free to attend. It's a great opportunity to support local filmmakers and get inspired by the stories of your fellow Canadians. The event takes place on April 17th from 5:30 PM to 7:49 PM. For more information on the project and the films being screened, visit citizenminutes.ca.
