With the FIFA World Cup just over a month away, the city is buzzing with anticipation. If you’re involved in the hospitality, tourism, or arts sectors, or just a passionate football fan, this final community planning workshop is your chance to get involved.
Why It Matters
This is the final workshop before the city dives head-first into programming. The goal is to create shared resources to showcase and promote projects and cultural events across Toronto. Whether you run a bar, a music venue, a gallery, or a BIA, this is an opportunity to collaborate and ensure that all our local businesses and communities benefit from the influx of visitors this summer.
Who Should Attend
Everyone is invited—business owners, football fans, community builders, and non-profits. The organizers are focused on building capacity and ensuring that the city is ready to welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors. As the organizers say, 'We are stronger together.'
Practical Info
The workshop takes place on May 12 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at It’s Ok* Studios (468 Queen St. West). For more information or to get involved, you can reach out to the organizers at rashid@dromartistcollective.org.
