Looking for a fun and educational way to wrap up the week with the kids? Head down to Queen’s Park for Family Fun Fridays at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. Running every Friday through August, this free drop-in program brings Ontario’s political history to life through interactive, family-friendly activities.
What’s on the Agenda Each visit begins with a 30-minute guided tour of the historic Legislative Building. Young visitors and parents alike will get a chance to see the impressive architecture, try on traditional parliamentary robes, and take part in themed games. A major highlight of the day is the chance to see the iconic Legislative Mace up close, which is on special display between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Tours start every 30 minutes, so it's best to plan your arrival accordingly. Note that adults (16+) will need a government-issued photo ID for security screening upon entry. Afterwards, take a stroll through the lush grounds of Queen's Park or head south to explore nearby downtown attractions.
