Celebrate Earth Day by connecting with Inuit culture and creativity at The Village at Black Creek. This hands-on workshop, led by Inuk artist Barry Best, offers a unique opportunity to learn about Inuit values, storytelling, and the art of soap carving.
The Experience
Participants will explore themes of interconnectedness, observation, and respect for materials. You’ll get to build cultural awareness through shared creative experience and storytelling. As part of the workshop, you’ll also enjoy a guided walk through The Village at Black Creek to view Barry Best’s art installation on-site.
Take Home a Masterpiece
By the end of the session, you’ll have your very own sustainable, hand-carved soap art piece to take home. It’s a perfect way to mark Earth Day with something meaningful and personal.
